I lost Lucy as some have read so I'm depressed Depressed girls go shopping some idiot said that the black was a boy (I take what they say with a grain of salt) but what do you think? There goes my last $20 LMAO Who said you can't buy love? Lucy cost me $6 as a day old, Elizabeth cost me time and patience.... some of the best things come at such a small cost

Amanda! Cute! If you lived here matt and I could suply you with hundreds of them!
Now regarding it's sex. Matt and I have been breeding chooks for years! and I have had my experiences with sexing chooks. And I can tell you right now, there is a 50% chance it is a male. lol

Haha, people have some crackpot ideas. I heard a new one the other day, apparently if an egg has a really pointy end they will hatch out cockerals and blunt ended eggs hatch hens, what a load of crap, I mean some of my anconas always lay pointy eggs every day, does that mean they can only ever breed males? Day old chicks can be sexed but you need to do a course on vent sexing and even then it is not 100% accurate. Feather sexing is only applicable to those specific lines that have been bred to produce fast feathering pullets and slow feathering cockerals. Therefore i come to the conclusiion that your babies could be either sex and you should just keep your fingers crossed that they are both female.

Well they had better be girls cause that's what they say they are!!! If not In a month I'll have a little boy who will need a new home I wouldn't even bother listening to the idiot who said it was a boy anyway... he's a 16 year old little **** who can't even sex guinea's properly!!!! The Little red is Red Devil and the little black is Molly Mae Oh and Peter.... If I lived near you guys I'd raise chicks and give them back just for the pleasure of watching them grow And Matt, what does a very long pointy oblong egg produce??? LMAO (an egg squeezed out of a very tight butt hahahaha)

LMAO. Not that this is a foolproof way but we raised a bunch of babies when my son Scott was doing farm studies at high school and all the cockerels we raised had smaller stumpier wings than the hens.

LOL well Molly's wings are large compared to her! Fingers crossed That little devil of mine keeps picking on Molly so she gets extra special attention... and lots of cuddles from me

Haha, Yeah some breeds do have stumpier feathered cockerals. The best way is to buy the laying hens, they are auto sexed at day old by colour.
