Sure are Matt! My other pair that fledged 4 are working on their 2nd clutch already. I think this mild Summer is making them breed like rabbits!
Bub is doing well and had a nice big full crop when I picked him up this afternoon - he was so warm to the touch too! The other eggs are no good. 1 is clear, 1 was going black so I opened it and it contained a perfectly formed chick DIS. I am leaving the other 2 eggs for bub to lean on.
The breeding hen I have noticed has some flecks of red feathers in her face. I had forgotten about it until I was negotiating the return of my fingers and saw her face. Could this mean she might be considered "visual" opaline or something? Or is it just a few random odd coloured feathers?
