Thats one very cute baby and isnt Dad a handsome bird. As I've said before they are hopefully our next acquisition when we build new avairies soon. I also think the old wine rack makes a great playgym for them so I'm going to keep my eye out for one of them too jen

Gee they grew up so fast....time flies by these days. I hate to suggest it, but it looks like that baby may have been feather plucked by the parents, you will find that the feathers will probably come back in now it has left the nest, they often do this behaviour, especially if they are already waiting to lay another clutch. The wings are usually left alone, hence the flying ability!

Well the whole 3 are out and about now !! All of them have feathers missing like that, The kaks do develop feathers differently, but now they are out and I can see them alot better, I do think they have been plucked ( :-[apolagises to Peter, who said that at the start) But the feathers are definatly coming through!! They all look sooo cute flying around with dad and at times mum, when shes not on her next lot of eggs!!

They are cute aren't they!
I'd say mum did pluck them. Especially if she started another nest so earlie. She would have trying to get them out of the nest asap so she could start again. When they wouldn't budge, she would have moved to the other nest. I have seen other birds do exactly the same thing, and pluck the exact same area. Their feathers will grow back soon, at least she left their flight feathers. Kak's are cool. Our pair are so funny. They play with everything!

They are so cute! They are funny to watch! I went in the aviary today and got some more pics for you all. One of the little cinnamons is very freindly and came and landed on my head twice! here is the normal. She has white toe nails like dad! Here are the cinnamons. All hens by the look. I was hoping the normal would be cock at least! Never mind maybe next clutch.

They are very cute Nat! I cant wait for mine to breed now, if only I could stop Tibor from eating all the nesting boxes and eggs all the time!!
