That's fantastic Mark, I wondered what ringies were like while nesting as I know they can be temperamental.

Looking good Mark! It is always nice to have a calm hen who allows nest inspection without smashing everything about. Do you have an egg candler to test fertility at all? I have a fibre optic one, it works really well and you do not have to open up the nest box too far to check, less disturbance on the hen that way!

Good idea, I always like checking the eggs incase they are infertile, that way I can remove them and let them sit again as soon as possible without waiting the whole three+ weeks.

I do that oo sometimes but with this pair this is there first clutch so i will leave them there four 4 weeks so they know they have to sit on them for that long If i remove them now they may not sit on the eggs for there full term in future
