Sorry to hear that, it always seems to come all at once doesnt it? It is possible the lorikeets just made a mistake as they quite often do, especially if they are young. If they continue this behaviour, I would recommend trying dummy eggs to give them the impression that eggs cannot be eaten.

Lorry has laid another egg, i will be guessing that this one is not fertile either, well that's the way I am gonna deal with it, so if it is fertile. It's not such an upset. Thanks everyone. yes Matt this is what I entend to do If this keeps happening.
