Cottees raspberry cordial and strained apples. I havent lost a baby to slow crop since i started using this. Smell the babies breath to make sure the food isnt going sour and leave them a little bit longer than normal at night to give them a good empty.

i never herd of that one before, but ill be willing to try anything if they dont get beta soon lol. At the moment tho there on 2 lots of nilstat a day, along with polly aid and spark. All 3 of them are also getting crop fed, i dont have any problems at all with the little "girl" but i figure beta to be safe then sorry since they drop a bit of weight. it is looking ALOT beta tho, this morn my oldest one (the one im keeping, the one thats not eatting) gulped down 3/4 of his food this morn! i was so pleased! and the other 2 polished off all theres along with the new meds (nilstat).... must have been the cherry flav of the meds lol

That is wonderful news indeed! Lets hope he starts putting that weight back on and stops frightening his mummy so much. My little budgie is barely holding on, I've resorted to using an eyedropper to give him some Aloe water & liquid roudybush as I haven't seen him eat for almost 2 days, he's strong enough with his tongue for me to have problems getting it to his throat though! If he doesn't improve at all by the end of the weekend I'm going to have to re-evaluate whether I'm doing him any good by forcing him to live.

oh no thats no good karren.... im not sure what to say, i would feel bad for not keeping him alive, but i would also feel bad 4 keeping him alive. both 4 diff reasons so im no good 2 comment sorry And yeah, there going ALOT beta, no problems with the crop feeding at all, there crops are now draining properly, and seem 2 be heaps heaps beta, i would be suprised if something happend 2 them now there on the nilstat till wens, but ill keep them on the polly aid and spark for a little longer still, there also gonna start on the spoon again on wens. so ill get more photos once im 100% sure there beta so i dont stress them 2 much at the moment with the flash

For every two tablespoons of apples I use one teaspoon of straight cordial. It works amazingly well there was a test done at one of the unis (cant remember which one now) where they tested the antibacterial properties of raspberry cordial and the results were amazing.

Good work Holly! The Nilstat is great for slow crop, it tends to have a positive effect on crop movement. If they did have a Candida infection or some other fungal problem it would also wipe that out at the same time. Do you add a little probiotic to thier feeds too when using Nilstat? That will help get their crop motility back on track. Look forward to hearing the results of Andre's sexing and updated pics of the babies.
