Wow we just got the aviaries and Cockatiels John's brother promised us. There's 2 aviaries with a fly thru between them and 40 tiels. I'm so excited, there's normal greys, lutinos, pieds and pearls and I think some pearl pieds. ;D I'm going to pick out which ones I want to have at my place and the rest will stay at Johns. I'll put up piccies when I can.

Sounds like fun Jules,
We're wanting more Tiels here. It's horrible to refer to them like this but they produce so readily and it covers the feed bill each month. I still love them like I do all my birds though so don't think I'm being Callous.

I am with you justin! I love our teils and budgies, but they are the birds that more often than not bring home the bacon for everyone else!

Some people think they don't get looked after this way but the people I know who do this look after their tiels & budgies really well too. Where's ya pics Jules? Can't wait to see them ;D |

What an excellent aviary, the fly between is great idea! They have a cool bushland setting too, must be happy about that hey! I notice you kept some of the flashest ones.......good work!

The Tiels or Weero's ( whatever you guys call them ) look great Jules. Hoping they throw out some great color mutations for you. It's one thing that I love about the Tiels... The possibility for the way most turn out is almost endless. Our guys here throw out some beautiful Cinnamon Pearly Pieds. I got 1 Heavy Pied right now that is going home tomorrow. He's all yellow with dark eyes. and has 3 dark feathers right next to each other on his left wing. Gorgeous bird. Good Luck! |
