These 2 pics are of some of our African Ringnecks. I'm working on establishing a breeding program with these guys. Looking for 3 Males as I have 2 lonely hens who have needs that need attending to this time of year and 1 young hen who is almost a year old. The male in the first pic is 5 years old now. This is his 3rd year breeding. His hen is in the box and is actually sitting on 2 fertile eggs. So far they've given us all females so we're hoping for a male this year. It's funny buy I have the 3 hens in the flight with our Lovebirds, one of the hens doesn't screech like a RIngneck no more. All she does is Lovebird noises. Enjoy.

The dark beak and smaller statue of African RN's is what drew me to them. I've heard whispers of a Blue Mutation on one of my bird groups I'm on but no one is coming forth with photo's....

Thanks for sharing Justin, I never get to see pictures of the african sub species much! Good luck sourcing the males and breeding this season with the original pair.

I checked the African's Boxes today and I'm happy to say that the male in the top photo has his hen sitting on 2 fertile eggs.
The hen in the 2nd pic is our former pet Tiki. She's 5 and her mate is 13 this year. Tiki is now sitting on 3 eggs. Here's hoping they'll go further. It's her first time being an expectant mom so I'm anxious to see how she'll do.

well I candled Tiki the female in the second pic's eggs today. She's laid 4 and 2 have gone fertile. I'm so proud of her. She's not as friendly as she once was but she still hops on my finger for a quick kiss and she will still wolf whistle at me once in a while too. Oh and my Hahns Macaws hatched 2 babies over the last few days... I checked the box today to see if they eggs were peeping. Turns out I was off by a few days as there were 2 little white balls of down sitting there. 1 more to go Gotta pull the oldest one not long after the last one hatches. We lost the youngest baby last time. Same with the Caiques.

like I need more babies... Got around 55 - 56 that I'm handfeeding right now. Takes me about 40 minutes to feed them all. I'm doing it at 4 times a day now.

Absolutley not. I moan when it's gotta get down at 2 - 3 am.When I'm not feeding I"m in bed early around 11pm. when I'm feeding I stay up late to at least 2am. I have a hard time going to bed and waking up 2 hours later to get up and feed.
I'd rather stay up and get by on 4 - 5 hours sleep
