This is my old fish tank that i am converting into a reptile tank. I have the reptile ground stuff (crushed nut shells of some sort) and need to get heating and lighting.....any suggestions? Mum filled it with shells to "make it look preety"

You'll find that your at the most expensive stage of reptile keeping....the lighting stage. What is it a 3ft tank? you can get the terra lighting (reflector light) a 3 ft is about $80 for the reflector and $35 for the light tube, basking lights i think from memory (we got to this stage and couldn't afford it) the light fitting is about $50 and the globe is about $30. The lighting isn't cheap at all! I guess it all depends on who you want to live in there and their needs

One at one end should suffice over a rock to be used as a basking light. You can get them from the shops but being a big tank a fluro will help to see the inhabitants. you have the basking at one end so the ppl inside can retreat if it gets too hot! The globes differ with whoever is inside.
