Its 4ft...currently fully set up but empty....to be honest i'm not sure what to put in it *L* This is the tank as it is currently...just waiting for occupents Its been a goldfish tank (messy blighters *LOL* but some are certainly beautiful) Its had Oscars in it (love em...and while i was lucky the 2 i had didnt redecorate...i'm not sure i'll get away with that again) Between the above have been splatterings of community tropical setups (i cant find the pics to those *L*..i'm sure ya all grateful for that...i'm a bit of a pic mad owner) Anyway like i said i dunno what to put in it....someone suggested Angels & Neons...but well i just dunno Got any ideas? (i can cater for both tropical and cool water fish)

We'll NEVER get sick of pics and we won't get sick of you either. What a great setup you have there.

Nah don't go angels...they are nasty! and will probably in time eat the neons. If the plants are real I'd stick with tetra's.

I have had some very nasty angels, and some good ones too. I am in to the simple platties and guppies and sword tails at the moment. They breed easy and are nice coloured. PS. you must seriously under-estimate us if you think we get sick of photos

They look great!!! You have done a great job with those. Do you find it takes a lot to maintain them? ?

Yeh I could well imagine hey. I used to have about 12 small aquariums set up in my Pet Shop and they took the most maintainence of all. I ended up paying some young kid who used to hang around and loved fish to maintain them for me. He loved it - and got heaps of free fish out of it!! People think its easy keeping fish .... its sooooo not lol

No certainly not easy....but satisfying *L* I've got another 4ft out the back i've got to clean out this week, i had an axolotyl in it....but he died ....what worse i'd had him for 6yrs and i think i killed him by putting him in rain water....i honestly didnt know they cant survive in it....i was devastated!

Oh no .... awww thats a shame. I didn't know that either - I would have thought rain water would have been the best bet for most fish ..... being pure with no chemicals in it, etc.
I used to have Axolotyls ... they are great hey!!

Yeah that what i thought too....i was researching some axolotyl colours and read it on one of the sites that they cannot survive in it as it is too soft....they must have hard water Ole Axol was excellent, he used to come up when you tapped the water surface gently, he ate outta my hand, he was just way cool I'm going to get some more, but i certainly wont make that mistake again
