Both elephant noses and ghost knives send out tiny electric pulses like sharks to find food and their way around. You need to keep their tank in a low traffic area because the noises mess with their little heads and they get stressed. They use their flexible nose to probe the substrate to find food and they like nice dark hidey holes etc to hide in! I love them and have always been facinated and have only just built up the courage to own them!
