We went to the wildlife carers house today to pick up a baby magpie and I came home with a female galah with a broken wing as well as the little maggie. I don't know how old she is although she seems reasonably young. I don't know how long ago her wing was broken but I think it has been like that for a little while. I'll post some pics soon.

Here is Scarlet. I found out she is definately wild but she's slowly becoming more comfortable with me.

She's lovely! Ihad a galah a few years ago but it really belonged to my ex, he was the best little guy!! He was also found with a broken wing, he was only a baby though so tamed down easily.

I do love the pink and greys - they are lovely little birds! Hope all goes well for this little one.
Will you keep him or get him ready to release again later on? I think the bonus with the native cockies is that they do return to the wild very easily if they are healthy enough - particularly if you are in an area that has a lot of them.

Scarlet will be staying for good as she can't fly properly. She's already starting to get more used to me and is a bit more relaxed when I'm around though she is still nervous around other people.

Thank you BirdQueen. It's such a wonderful feeling when you know you've done something to help even if you can't let them go.
