COngrats on the Nandays.
not my favorite conures. For some reason they never appealed to me. Yeah they're noisy. Give them a few weeks to settle in and the noise should start. Most birds are well behaved initially when they're in a strange environment.
What other Conures are availabale in Australia?

We have three Nanday Conures at work, along with one Green Cheek and about 8 Sun Conures. The Green Cheek and the Nandays were confiscated off private aviculturalists. There were also about 6 green and blue quakers at work a while back but they have gone now, they were sitting up the back in a small aviary for years because they were confiscated. WA has such strict laws in regard to foreign species, most of the birds at work were confiscated from peoples aviaries in random raids, heaps of the exotic lori's were I know that much. I definately think we need a review of the licence system here.
