Now trying to remember is going to seriously hurt my little brain! Loss of apetite, dramatic weight loss, some can lose hair. Funny smelling breath, can't remember if it's sweet or what. Discharge from the bottom, aborted babies or premmie babies that die very soon after they have suckled because the toxins go into the milk (like dogs and cats) If you can catch it early it may be treatable but it all happens so quickly it isn't funny. You can't give antibiotics to guinea pigs... I use to use doxycycline hydrochloride (psittavet for birds). I have only experienced it once with some dodgy satins I got when I first started and it was so long ago I can barely remember!

Preg tox is basically when the mum can't not use sugars etc. from food properly, either because they haven't been getting enough nutrition or being too fat (so keeping your cavy in the middle weight range is best). Even if mum does end up eating well, the food does not metabolise well and mum does not get enough energy for her and the baies to live out of what she is eating.
I dont think you have anything to worry about em. Just make sure you keep up the green leafy grasses and veg and fruit.
Have a look at my post on the other forum and read the article I posted
