Hey guys, Not much action around here so hopefully someone will see these pics hehe. Amanda i have a feeling you will enjoy them The cat bought this in this arvo, its pouring with rain and the poor thing is a bit stunned so she is under a uv heat lamp in my room until she recovers and it warms up a bit, i dunno it has a fat tummy, reckon its got eggs? Matt, do they have any of these little ones at the zoo? they should get some i reckon:) funny little critters I havent seen one for ages, becoming a bit of a rarity up here:( same with echidnas, there are fewer and fewers of them and new species are moving in look at these lovely colours, when they warm up a bit they seem to change colour? she has a much more vibrant yellow now instad of the khaki striping

OMG!!!! You're right darl, my all time most fave reptile! I love thorny devils! SOOO CUTE!!!! I'm so unbelieveably jealous! I'd love to keep one but I just couldn't harvest ants everyday!!! Such a job! Great pics! One day I'll hopefully see one in the wild!

Lucky you! Thats great that they are still about even if only in small numbers! We don't have any at work, I guess it would be difficult to harvest enough food every day for them. Thanks for the pics and I am glad she is ok.

Gorgeous little bugger there! destined to die a slow death of starvation in continued captivity unless you can harvest enough ants for it though (or farm enough at least) am told it's impossible to get a licence for these, so must be returned to the wild, as close as possible to where it came from, which may be difficult as the cat brought it in :/ please try to limit your cats ability to get out and about to damage our precious natives out doing their thing hope it does well enough to be released soon good job on your efforts to help

It had unlimited access to ants so it definantly did not go hungry. I know i cant get a license for them, dont particularly want one... looking after one for a week is hard enough I let the little devil go, back where she came from, the cat is usually not allowed outside, my stupid sister left the door open all night and the cat went out and didnt come back till that evening ( which i presume was because he did not want to get wet) He is a crappy hunter, is scared of birds- like to the point of running under the nearest bench in sheer fright if he hears one close by, and could not ctach a mouse to save his life. a devil is slow enough yet enticing enough to catch though.

I realise Cats a bad problem with native animals,
However I believe megzly would do everything in her power to help any animal! Accidents happen, and the cat was let out! Good on you for caring for him! He is very cool
