Well the season is off to a good start for us we have plenty of birds on eggs and babys
This is just a few pics of wat my wife is hand raising at the moment
As each week passes we pull more babys from Jason's and our birds to hand raise
Please if you are after somthing or see somthing you like just let me know
This is a pic of the Equiptment we use for Hand Raising The 3 on the Left are Brooders The 2 on the Right are weaning cages (mainly used for lorikeets as theis so messy)
These are the babys in the brooders at the moment In 1 of the small tubs are 2 of my Normal Rainbow babys In the other are Jasons Greencheeks (2 x Pineapple 2 x Normal possable split depending on the sex of them)
I this tub we have a Dilute , Mustard & Blue Fronted Rainbow babys and a baby Blur Ringneck
This is my first clutch of Greencheeks 2 x Normal Double Split Cocks and a Pineapple hen + 1 Maroonbellie Conure
This is one side of the weaning cage for the seed eaters i has 2 x Sun Conures and a Cockatiel
This Side has a almost weaned ECCY Hen
These are almost weaned and need to be sexed My firse Musk Lorikeet baby and it an OLIVE + 3 x Scailys ( 1 x Lutino 1 x if cock Split Lutino and 1 x Normal from Michelle & Waynes)
I'd love to but then I'd have to find somewhere else to live.... folks don't like lorikeets and it seems I'm already treading on thin ice ATM with the pets I already have. That and I only earn about $200 a week and I don't think I'd find a free board home anytime soon! Heck they won't let me have another canary!!!!!!
Mum to 7 snakes, 5 lizards, scorps,13 birds ,6 guineas & fish(& I cut down on what I had!).
DUE TO THE CURRENT FINANCIAL RESTRAINTS, THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL WILL BE TURNED OFF UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Doing a great job there. Well done Yvonne. I have been lucky so far as Holly has sved me from having to hand raise this year so far. I really don't feel like doing it at the moment. It is bad enough having to clean up after a puppy and all the baby chickens. I just got one lot of chicks moved outside and the eggs in the incubator are cheaping at me today so more on the way. I hate the mess and smell that you have to be constantly on top of.
I also love the picture of the different lories. Please excuse my ignorance but I have never heard a bird described as a pineapple though, is that the proper name? Its very cute. dont know much about conures I'm afraid. Good luck with all your babies. jen
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Bourbon in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride"
