This is Plonk, a permanant resident here, as you can see he is an echidna. He has a problem with his back feet, so he pulls him self around with his front ones- sorta looks like a funny shuffle. He got his name because he was "plonked" into our mail box. he is a friendly little critter and isnt afraid of us at all.

I'd say someone hit him with a car and that's how he ended up in your letterbox. I love echidna's they are oh so cute no matter what size they are!!!

As amanda said (must be a mind reader lol) he was hi by a car and plonked into our nice cosy mailbox. Luckily we found him other wise he could have been sittin thre all week. His back legs are sorta paralysed but he is definantly a happy chappy and isnt afraid of people anymore. and like to sneak up on you when your not expecting him to be there.

I hate it when people do that, for once I wish I was wrong! I love echidna's... I love all natives, I don't know how someone could hit an animal and just leave them without any help. You should see me on the road, I'm dangerous!!! I stop fair bang in the middle, jump out and pick up lizards off the road. Did that In Singleton with turtles too.... have them running around on the floor til I came to a river LOL

He is awsome!
I love it how people just think they are doing the best thing by dumping the animal at someone's house and not letting them know!
The amount of times we come home to find a box, or a sack, thats moving!
