Nice!!!! But I'd watch those angels and bristles..... they will LOVE your plants to bits! The bristlenose are plant friendly, i've had them for years, off and on and never had plant damage. Mind you if there isnt sufficent algae (or algae disks) fed to them i would expect them to look for eadible vegetation elsewhere. The planted tank forums i've on, many have them in there tanks, infact are the preferred algae control method (them and otos), no-ones mentioned damage. Other Plecos on the other hand, can damage plants, especially due to their size. The angels havent damaged any plants, they do peck at them when they are going to spawn, but havent damaged them. The ones i've been warned to watch by other aquarists for plant damage are the Clown loaches, when they get large they are plant destroyers apparently. Anyway time will tell

I had one BN and he was a horror! He was so angry and aggressive to anyone and anything. No matter how much algae was in the tank or how many wafers I put in he preferred the plants! When I had angels they didn't eat the plants, they just distroyed them. I got so sick of it I got rid of them. My Pleco's are large and they pull up all the plants by swimming around them, they accidently pull them up and do more damage when spooked. I found it was the same with the huge loaches at work, they got tangled up in them and pulled them all up.

All the BN ive had, have been peaceful and no probs with either plants or fish. The pair that are in the 5ft are a male and female (commons), i also have 2 of as yet unknown sex (albinos) in my 2ft, and will be getting 4 more, 2 for each of my smaller tanks. I absolutely adore them. Hoping to add peppermints and orange spot or marbled. The adult Angels i've got, have shown no signs of doing plant damage, like i said they peck at them only when they are going to spawn, but still no damage. I do understand they are a cichlid though and most cichlids are not plant friendly. But then i kept to Oscars in a planted tank successfully *LOL* I may be just lucky. I know what large plecos do, that why i dont have any The clowns dont just pull them up apparently, they ruin them. These are my first clown loaches, so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt until they show me otherwise.

That's the joy of fish hey, everyone's experiences are different! But you never ever really know until you try for yourself!
