I have handraised nearly all of the commonly kept species , so if you have any questions I probably can answer them or someone else on the forum as most of us have done a bit of raising at some time or another.

Same here we have H/R most species from as young as 10 days without a brooder and all have survived no probs
The best birds to learn to H/R with is Cockatiles and Ring Necks as there cheep to buy and easy to H/R lorikeets are another good bird to learn with and the easyiest to wean of all the birds as there food is bowder form and NOT seed
A good book is the ABK guide to Hand Raising Birds it had tones of info in it !!!
