Just thought I'd share these pics! I never knew there were so many kinds of lories and lorikeets out there! Here are some I found! They are gorgeous!! I want a pair of each,lol!!! yellow streaked lory Yellow bibbed lory Yellow back chattering lory,( I knew about this one but gosh they are nice!) Violet-neck Stella's Lorikeet Red Moluccan Perfect ( I knew this one to) Orange or Red Phase dusky( can get yellow to) Goldies Duyvenbode Blue streaked Black capped Black lory Arent these birds just awsume!! Plus of course there are the others like the scaley, red collar, green nape, and the mutations of these guys, too many to go into!!

I LOOOVVEEEE the Moluccan's and the blacks! Have only ever seen pics but I would love to meet one! They are all so beautiful!

Wow im not so cluey into birds and i have a bad experience involving house sitting for peter for a month and looking after his loris... BUT i think the Duyvenbode and the Moloccan are really pretty... actually the dusky looks cool too...dammit i want loris lol thanks for the pics nat

I'd love to be able to afford to!! I found some avairies here in QLD that breed a few of these varieties!! One day... when I win the lotto and buy a huge property, and can actualy afford some of these beauties, LOL!!... Dreaming.............

I have a few rainbow lorikeets they look really plain now.. but still love them.. wow I would love one of those.. well life is full a dreams.. one day.. and it could happen.. I do have a couple of my rainbows up for sale.. only problem is I dont know how to tell the sex of them.. mmmmmmmmmm

With most if not all Lorikeets you havs to get them sexed as there is no other way !!

u can tell by there beaks if there bigger then the over

You can also feel there pelvic bones as well as looking at there beak and head size but it is never 100% right no matter how much experance you might have As no 2 birds are 100% the same size and shape can vary from bird to bird even in the same species But you can still have a go and guess No harm no foul !!!

I have a pair of rainbows to, and the one I think is the male has a bigger beak and much deeper red colour. I have a handraised one as well that I thought was male as it got a bit frisky with me! But I ma now thinking female cause the beak is the same as the I think female I have in the pair. And the frisky business doesnt mean its a male! LOL! My female kakariki was doing the same thing to her cage !! Oh and :DHi Gardiner how are you? Welcome to Ozpets. Would love to hear more about your birds and other pets!

Yes we are. I think they're worth around $1300 each but I'm not entirely sure. I have a friend who has a pair. I'll ask him next time I see him though I don't know when that'll be. His pair are absolutely stunning.
