havent seen one, but i like the theory of escaped zoo animals, or someones exotic pet got a little too much so they dumped it! i love mysteries like these ones!

I have inside knowledge on these! There have been many confirmed escapes of big cats in Australia, especially in the east coast, and there is nothing to say that they died out, it is quite possible that they are breeding. I have seen footprint moulds and scat collections that match those of big cats in captivity. Only time will tell when someone kills one or is killed by one I guess.

they reckon theyres one or two up here some where, i doubt it though there isnt enough food and with so many sheep around there would have surely been an attack, i dont doubt that they could be in forest areas, just not so far out here. although once at our neighbours place a heap of sheep got ripped to shreds by something, most likely a pack of dingoes, it was a bit strange but since itd never happened before and not to such a large number of sheepies

hmm i guess one way to find out.. hang some bait from a tree if its shredded and ripped apart, i guess there could be big cats
