This little guy flew into our laundry and got caught near the window. I brought him up into the house in a plastic bag and let him fly around (so I could get some photo's) before we released him off our veranda and waved him goodbye A beautiful Birdwing Butterfly ;D (some are out of focus...very difficult to take pictures of a moving object....little sod wouldn't sit still )

You know I'm quite suprised that Townsville doesn't have one! With the nice high humidity etc it would be the best place to have one. It would cost less to maintain than the southern ones because of the humidity and temp. But no one has made one....So if anyone is looking for a business venture there's one for you all, a butterfly house in Townsville

It sounds like a great idea Amanda maybe you could get some corprate sponser ship and do it your self or with some one else ! Just start small and grow slowly like most other places (just a thought) If i lived a bit further up i would help out It would take a bit of work but it would be very rewording in the end !! Ill come and see it
