Aww, I want!
I have been thinking about scorpions as pets for a while now- are they easy care, and do you need a license to keep them?

No you don't need a license to keep them..only to sell them. Central Desert scorpions are a little more difficult. I'd go for the easiest ones which are the forest scorpions. They are small, are easier to handle ( I mean to try and get out of their home when you have to clean it.... Missy up there^ makes it very difficult cause she is so quick and aggressive ) and are very active for little scorps. I don't recommend desert scorps or Black rock scorps for beginners. They have very different habitats and different requirements. What the petstores don't tell you is just how much work Desert scorps are! If you'd like some further reading I thoroughly recommend this site www.thedailylink.com/thespiralburrow/It is great and has tonnes of information!!! I spray my girls homes with water every day and check on them constantly becuase of the heat lately. Just don't stick scorps near sunlight, it destroys their exoskeleton and will kill them....that and it'll cook them.

Thanks I'll go check out the site now. I think I may have found my next pet, certainly very different from squishy rats and cuddly bunnies

LOL squishy rats LOL, Haylz. I love her Amanda, I wouldn't keep them but I'm fascinated by unusual critters, we've had snakes, dragons, lizards, alpacas, allsorts.
Cheers, Jules
