Aint these pics a classic!!!!!..
He's like "what the ".....
Shes been in the cage..theyve had a few blues.....think they are sorting out whos boss!!
Now she really is confused caused today I brought home her second mate...hes in her cage....shes out and free and just keeps going from boy to boy..so funny to watch....
Eagle...you'll have to join the cue......for the boy D*ckettes.....first two are taken already...one is mine..and the other is already paid for in full.........fingers crossed..they throw a D*ckette first round....just got a feeling this might happen....hmmm...
Personally I think it is hilerious watching her.....and I think its a combination of love and lust...funny....Ive been yakking with the fella that wrote the genetics book on mutations and he says sometimes human bonded birds can have trouble hooking up but you can be lucky....by the looks of things..Ive been lucky...
Fingers crossed all comes to plan now...

Sex will be unknown unless there is a trick to them like Weiros...on there first hatch day....I will get them DNA sexed when they are feathered...
Colour??..ok well ..the plan is....out cross her to two wild males to guarantee fertility....keep the kids...then when kids mature....breed 1/2 to 1/2 siblings.....I wont breed kid to Mum....thats where people run into trouble with inbreeding..
As the fallow gene is recessive.....all kids will have the fallow gene....therefore....there should be a good production on full fallows...I may out cross a third time..not sure yet.....
Now as the first genereation of kids are all split fallows...and remember the recessive gene is hidden therefore the reason to inbreed a little...otherwise gene remains hidden........all future matings "should" produce 75% to 100% full colour fallows.......however as I have mated her with the original wild bird...and as the fallow mutation first appeared in the wild here up bush...I could be lucky and see a full fallow on her first mating...think thats about a 25% chance of at least one...I found out that fallows here are common up bush but are target birds for predators....due to their colours....

Thats ok Holly..I respect your opinion and appreciate your honesty...until I spoke with Terry Martin I was the same as you.....
Just think on this..how do you think he/she (a breeder) got his split???..or other??...from inbreeding.....thats how the mutation came about in the first place......natural inbreeding in the wild...
the difference here is I can control the in breeding and prevent direct blood lines breeding....Terry said the biggest mistake people do is that they breed sibling to parent which causes many of the problems......therefore if I was to obtain a split from a breeder...I have no idea how much in breeding he/she has done....in the long run..It could cause infertile birds and possible genetic problems...also hybrids..maybe...
Presently..there isnt anyone with Fallows in WA that are breeders.. In the eastern states....Ive done a little research and once again there isnt yet any bird the same as D*ckette....if what i was told yesterday but four seperate places and people is correct.....maybe there is....but they arent publically making it common knowledge...most are breeding Lutinos which are similiar to Fallows...I will stand corrected on this if anyone knows diffrently...
Holly.....I wouldnt do anything that would be determental to my birds..I am like you and love them like no one knows......they are my babies....
But once again I do value your opinion and honesty.... ;D

Inbreeding or line breeding as it is called in the dog world can be a useful tool. Otherwise half the mutations or features we like so much wouldnt be avavilable, they would just dissappear. I know more about Line breeding in dogs than i do birds but i do know this can produce better quality and desired features which would otherwise be very difficult to reproduce. However it needs to be done correctly thats all. Like mentioned above you don't just cross staight back mother to son, or father to daughter etc Line breeding is often critisized when it is not fully understood and there is stigma attached as it is something drilled into us from a young age that you just don't allow that but in the animal world it can work in the right circumstances.

LMAO @rainbows....all he wanted to do was take her off my hands...he couldnt even identify her correctly....thanks for offering asistance Holly.. ..promise to keep you up to date...before I forget.....went to Birdworld..and got to play with baby tame Alexs.....just like yours...they were so cute!!!!!...that little noise they make is just gorgeous.... Thanks Mark ....but..alas..she is "spoken" for....shes been in the cage all day with fella #2...hasnt bathed or anything....so unusual for her....oh..yup..shes done the "wild thing" already.......what a BOOBOO!!!.....wouldnt dare bring in a third fella....she was even trying to hook up with the male scaley I got yesterday!!!!! Thanks for that Jen.....exactly..this is how I felt until I understood about the methods of breeding...Ive lost count of the amount of people Ive seen inbreed Blue Heelers wrong and the end result wasnt nice...very violent Blueys..Not nice...one mature breeding male was kept in a caged trailer cause he was so vicious....not right....
